I spent a summer working as a counselor at iD Tech, a STEM-focused camp that teaches kids coding, robotics, electronics, and computer science fundamentals. The environment was fast-paced, demanding, and incredibly rewarding. I taught Python programming, electronics, and problem-solving skills to students while also managing classroom logistics, schedules, and parent communication.
Working long days — often from 7 AM to 8 PM — taught me discipline, adaptability, and how to communicate technical concepts clearly to beginners. Teaching reinforced my own understanding of programming fundamentals, and I gained strong experience managing groups, maintaining professionalism with parents, and fostering curiosity in young learners.
